Why did we wait so long to dine here again! Don’t make the same mistake. Our party of five ordered a broad range of starters and dishes. What struck me was how complementary all the flavors were. You can take a bit of a variety of plates and they all play off of each other so well. We enjoyed the roti, the pea fritters, chicken satay, siu mai, curries, and beef rendang. Only complaint: smallish portions for price. Service is excellent. There’s ample seating inside and out. Truly a neighborhood gem.
It was a group of us, and we tend not to order the same thing. Well, it's a good thing we didn't! Everything we ordered was incredible. We all had to place another order because we couldn't get enough! I ordered (3 times 🤭) of the Chinese sausage & shrimp Siu-Mai , I paired it with a Banana Fairy Queen cocktail, but not before having a Touch o' Glitter jello shot. The jello shot had "pearls" or Boba that were filled with alcohol! My mind was blown🤯I could only handle the one drink and jello shot. They are both pretty strong. We were all so impressed that we have already made plans to return. I highly recommend making reservations as it does get to get full quickly.
My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic restaurant last night, and it was hands down one of the most enjoyable culinary experiences we've had in a while – and trust me, we're foodies who love exploring new places!
The fusion of flavors in this pan Asian/Indonesian restaurant is something truly special. You'll catch hints of Indian, East Asian, and even a surprising twist with that delicious tomato sauce on the chili crab, which wouldn't be out of place on a plate of spaghetti and meatballs!
What added to the experience was the trendy dining room and the impeccable service. We're already planning our next visit to dive into more of their menu offerings. This place has left a lasting impression on us, and we can't wait to savor more of their unique and satisfying dishes. It's a culinary gem that's definitely worth a return visit!
Excellent prix fixe menu; well prepared and plated entrees. The courses complement each other nicely. $85 in 2023. Their cocktails are wonderful. Recommend
Not a factor in their review, but I’d prefer they raise their prices 2% rather than tack on a 2% employee surcharge. I was never a fan of the Comcast model of service fees.
It's was definitely a delicious decision to come here! Everything was good. Some things were amazing. The panpuri and the roti with the tomato curry were straight up amazing. Reminded me of our SE Asian travels. I could eat a huge plate of the donuts.
My wife and I went to Gado Gado. Fantastic experience! We have been to their sister restaurant Oma’s Hideaway. Their blend of cultures create dishes that are familiar yet totally unique at the same time. We tried a variety of dishes. We had the Roti Canai, Chinese sausage and shrimp siu mai, smoked date and Brussels sprouts, Sumatran style Rendang beef, and the heirloom tomato and stone fruit rujak. Yes, yes I know. A lot of food but we took home a lot of leftovers. All dishes were a delightful experience. Our hands down favorite was the tomato and stone fruit. Bursting with flavor and brightness. A couple of notes. The sausage and shrimp dumplings have a hit of horseradish on the top so be ready for kick of heat. Also the dates and Brussels sprouts dish is on the sweeter side. Enjoy!
Are you kidding me?! Best food of my life. Being a vegetarian has never been more delicious. Geez! Killing it! Nice enough to sit us without a reservation, can’t wait to be back!
Had a wonderful birthday dinner at Gado Gado. Our part of 6 had the “Rice Table” which is a 12 course tasting menu. See attached picture of the menu. Everything was delicious. Favorites include the Roti Canai with tomato curry dipping sauce and the coconut clam and pork curry. The assorted house pickles was one of the best I’ve had. Dessert (apple cider doughnuts) were just ok. Will be going back again!
